The Dolphin Encounter is our most informative program and specially designed for kids young and old. It is the ideal family-friendly activity to enjoy in Costa Maya.
The Dolphin Encounter is a fun and safe dolphin interaction program where our friendly trainers will share with you different information on our bottlenose dolphin and its habits. The dolphin accompanying you will offer you his kindness with a sweet kiss and hug. You will also get to enjoy a number of games and activities.
Our dolphins will always welcome you in the clear waters of the Caribbean Sea that surround the paradise of Costa Maya, a beautiful destination 4 hours from Cancun. Return home with this memory that will last forever!

Infants (2’11” - 3’2”) are FREE for this Dolphin program. This promotion applied ONLY upon client request. DO NOT include them in your reservation when booking. No refunds will apply if they are included in the reservation. After reservation is completed, please e-mail us at customercare@dolphindiscovery.com or use the comments area to request infant entrance.
Kids who measure 2’11” to 3’11” must swim with an adult.
In Costa Maya, groups have a maximum of 20 people for a closer experience.
The use of safety vests is required in all water programs.
For safety reasons, pregnant women with more than 5 months are not allowed in any of our aquatic activities. Pregnant women with 5 months or less will be able to participate only if accompanied by another adult and having signed the responsibility form.
If you get to Costa Maya by cruise ship, verify your schedule before booking to avoid inconveniences. The Time Zone in Costa Maya is CST-Central Standard Time (UTC/GMT-6 hours) during winter and CDT-Central Daylight Time during summer (UTC/GMT-5 hours).
It is important to arrive 30 minutes before your program.
