DOLPHIN DISCOVERY ACQUIRES DOLPHIN CONNECTION PARK IN FLORIDA
Cancún, Quintana Roo September 11th, 2018. - Dolphin Discovery, the leading company in the world of dolphin habitats, announced that as of September 5, Dolphin Connection, located in Hawks Cay Resort in Florida Keys, is now part of the Mexican company, becoming its most recent acquisition.
Dolphin Connection was founded in 1990 by Doug and Cheryl Messinger, the latter being the first female president of the International Association of Marine Animal Trainers (IMATA) in 1995.
The habitat is a member of several international institutions in marine mammal care such as the aforementioned IMATA and the Alliance of Marine Mammal and Aquarium Parks (AMMPA). Same institutions that have credited Dolphin Discovery in previous years.
"This has been a difficult decision for Cheryl and me, but we know that Dolphin Connection, its staff, and the dolphins, could not be in better hands than with Dolphin Discovery," said Doug Messinger.

Dolphin Connection is the second habitat of Group Dolphin Discovery in the United States, Gulf World in Panama City Florida is the other dolphin habitat owned by the company that was acquired in 2015.
