Dolphin Discovery Puerto Vallarta is the home of the five most adorable and chubbiest sea lions of all. We’re located inside Aquaventuras Water Park in Puerto Vallarta, just along the Mexican Pacific Ocean. Here you can enjoy our swimming Sea Lion Discovery program that surely will exceed all of your expectations and dreams.
The Sea Lion Discovery program will be a once in a lifetime experience you should absolutely do, enjoy hanging out and making some new buddies with this adorable species. Get the most lovely and ticklish kiss you have ever had followed by a cozy-wet hug. We love to teach all of our visitors about environmental conservation, so that’s why during your swimming program our marine mammal specialists will teach you some interesting data about sea lions, their habitat and what we can do to help take care of our planet. The fun doesn’t end with this, after your incredible activity enjoy our silly sea lions wobble onto the stage and show the audience the coolest and funniest tricks you can imagine.

If you’re traveling with little ones don’t worry, we have a special playground area where they can easily spend the day, try the coolest water slides in Mexico, get a ride in the slow river and if you’re feeling more kind of adventurous try out our newest attractions; an intrepid zip line route and a climbing wall challenge. Additional information
- Children from 10 years old and with a height from 1.40cm / 55.11in / 4.59ft can participate accompanied by a paid adult.
- From 13 years old and with a height greater than of 1.40cm / 55.11in / 4.59ft can participate alone.
- Infants from 1 to 9 years old or who do not meet the height cannot participate.
- Sea lion area is open Tuesday to Sunday.
- The Aquatic Park opens Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 am to 05:00 p.m.
- For companions, Aquaventuras Park has an entrance fee of US $25.00 per adult and US $19.00 per child age 4-11 years old.
- In Vallarta, groups have a maximum of 12 people for a closer experience. The use of a life jacket is required in all water programs.
- Rates and schedules may vary depending on selected dates.
- For security reasons, the use of cameras in the water is not allowed, professional photos will be available for sale.
- Access to the park with food or drinks is not allowed.
IMPORTANT: currently, we are NOT accepting US dollars in cash at our facilities (check-in, restaurant, boutique, and photos), however, we accept Mexican pesos in cash. If you want to use an international credit or debit card, payments will be done in Mexican or US currency.

Recommendations
- For safety reasons pregnant women (5 months and up) can't participate in any of our aquatic programs. Women with less than 5 months into their pregnancy can participate in the Encounter program only if accompanied by another adult and after signing a Responsibility Form.
- It is important to arrive 30 minutes before your program, remember you'll receive a short briefing before your swim.
- If you have any health or physical disability please contact our call center before you make your reservation so we can provide you full information about our services.
- Remember to use biodegradable sunscreen to protect your skin, the environment and marine species.
- Bring towels and cash for taxis, shopping, meals, etc.
