THE 11th EDITION OF THE RACE DOLPHIN PUERTO AVENTURAS TO RAISE FUNDS IS ANNOUNCED
Cancún, Quintana Roo, December 19th, 2018. - Today, Fundación Dolphin Discovery I.A.P with the Association of Settlers of Puerto Aventuras announced during the press conference the eleventh edition of the annual race Dolphin Puerto Aventuras next to the Director of the Instituto Municipal del Deporte (Municipal Sports Institute), David Martínez and the representatives of Transformar Educando, and Fundación Cáritas de Quintana Roo.
The race will take place in the residential complex of Puerto Aventuras next January 20th, 2019 at 8:00 am with capacity for 700 runners. This is an event where adults and children will be able to participate in one of the following categories:
- 10K: Free (19-39 years), Master (40-49 years), and Veterans (50 years+)
- 5K: Juvenile(15-18 years), Free (19-39 years), and Master (40 years+)
- 1K: Juvenile (9-14 years)
- 400mts: Minors (- 9 years)
With more than 24 years of experience in the world of marine mammals and training, and with parks/habitats in 10 countries and 2 continents, Grupo Dolphin received more than 2 million guests in 2018, half which lived the experience of interacting with marine mammals in one of their 24 habitats. The Dolphin Family includes more than 260 dolphins, 45 sea lions, and 18 manatees among other species as well as different species of penguins, fish, and exotic birds.
Besides promoting family and social time through sports, the race has as an objective to collect fund for the educational projects of Transformar Educando A.C., located in Puerto Aventuras and to support Fundación Cáritas de Quintana Roo A.C. by recollecting grains and non-perishable food, contributing to improve the nutritional levels of the benefited people through their "Comprehensive food care model".
It was announced that there will be free round-trip transportation (Limited space for 80 people) from Cancun to Puerto Aventuras, leaving from the Dolphin Center located in Banco Chinchorro, on the corner with Acanceh, Sm. 13 at 5:30 am and returning at 12:00 pm.

The Enrollment fee is $270 pesos per adult and $220 per child. In case there is a group of 10 people, they will be granted the children fee. The first 3 places of each category will get an award and everyone will be able to participate in the raffle granted by the sponsors.
