In this location, the Dolphin Encounter program allows you to have an up-close interaction with these fantastic and intelligent animals. This interaction includes the opportunity to touch and caress our beloved dolphins, but that’s not all! You can also hug and kiss these adorable animals. This is undoubtedly the best dolphin experiences in the Mexican Caribbean.
The good thing about this program is that you can have a lot of fun and a lovely time with your family or friends since it is designed for people of ages. You don’t have to worry about your swimming skills; you’ll carry out this swim with dolphins activity on an underwater platform that will only cover half of your body. Don’t overthink it, and come to live these unique and coveted experience! We are sure you’ll remember it forever!

Don’t include infants of 3.3 ft or less in your reservation; however, be sure to add them in the comments section of your reservation.
Children over 4.6 ft will be allowed to participate alone in any of our dolphin programs by paying the adult rate.
Children over 3.9 ft up to 4.6 ft will be allowed to participate alone in the Encounter program.
Children over 3.3 ft and up to 3.9 ft will be allowed to participate in the Encounter program accompanied by a paying adult.
Children under 3.3 ft will be considered infants and will perform Encounter activities regardless of the program in which they participate (it is a requirement that they fit the vest).
In this program at Costa Maya, groups have a maximum of 20 people for a closer experience.
The use of safety vests is required in all water programs.
If you get to Costa Maya by cruise ship, verify your schedule before booking to avoid inconveniences. The Time Zone in Costa Maya is CST-Central Standard Time (UTC/GMT-6 hours) during winter and CDT-Central Daylight Time during summer (UTC/GMT-5 hours).
IMPORTANT: currently, we are NOT accepting US dollars in cash at our facilities (check-in, restaurant, boutique, and photos), however, we accept Mexican pesos in cash. If you want to use an international credit or debit card, payments will be done in Mexican or US currency.
Bring towels and cash for taxis, shopping, meals, etc.
For safety reasons, expectant mothers of 5 months or more can't participate in any of our aquatic programs. However, expectant mothers of less than 5 months can only participate in the Encounter program if accompanied by another adult and after signing a waiver.
