We are inside Chankanaab Natural Park. The park is located at the 9.6 km of the southern coastal highway, only 15 minutes from San Miguel, Cozumel.
Yes. Our programs include park admission; feel free to enjoy all facilities.
Our location is about 15 or 20 minutes from the dock.
Take a taxi from the dock to Chankanaab National Park. The ride will be about $15 USD for 4 persons. Dolphin Discovery facilities are near the park entrance and the path is clearly marked.
Taxis are available at the pier. When you get to the street, you will see all the taxis lined up, you can take one from there to the park and back.
For visitors, the regular price is $21 dollars and $14 dollars per kid (3-11 years). However, Chankanaab Park entrance is totally free for all swim with dolphins’ participants.
Chankanaab Sea is perfect for diving and snorkeling, you will be able to practice both activities at one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world. You will also be able to explore Cozumel Island by yourself.
No, the activity is free. However, if you want to rent a mask and fins, you will have to pay a $ 15 USD fee per person. If you have your own snorkeling gear, bring it!
The Chankanaab Park is opened daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We recommend you to bring tennis, bathing suit, biodegradable sunscreen, sunglasses, camera, towels, cap or hat and extra money.
  • Children over 4.6 ft will be allowed to participate alone in any of our dolphin programs by paying the adult rate.
  • Children over 3.9 ft up to 4.6 ft will be allowed to participate alone in the Encounter program. To participate in the Swim Adventure or Royal Swim programs, children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • Children over 3.3 ft and up to 3.9 ft will be allowed to participate in the Encounter program accompanied by a paying adult. To participate in the Swim Adventure or Royal Swim programs, children must be accompanied by two paying adults.
  • Children under 3.3 ft will be considered infants and will perform Encounter activities regardless of the program in which they participate (it is a requirement that they fit the vest).

Royal Swim: Foot Push, Dorsal Tow, Handshake, Kiss, Hand target, hug.

Swim Adventure: Belly Ride, Boogie push, Hug, Hand target, handshake, kiss.

Dolphin Encounter: Hand target, kiss, handshake, as well as information about the behavior and anatomy of dolphins.

Royal Swim: 10 maximum.

Swim Adventure: 12 people maximum.

Dolphin Encounter: 15 to 20 people maximum.

We recommend to arrive at least 45 minutes before your scheduled time as you need to check in and receive a small induction.

 

Dolphins have a specifically balanced diet according to their age, activity and development, so feeding dolphins is not allowed as this could affect their health.

 

No, we currently do not have this service, our programs are educational and interactive. However, we invite you to participate in any of our programs, you can review the security policies section for more information on the participation of people with disabilities.

No, we don't have transportation service included. However, taxis available directly on site. 

All our units have the Dolphin Discovery logo, plus our staff will have distinctive uniform.

The timetables for your pick up and return will be scheduled at the time of your reservation.

The use of life jackets is required in all water programs, our staff will provide the jacket that best suits your complexion, we have jackets available in different sizes and for babies one year old and up.

People with disabilities may participate in our programs, this requires filling a format and send it via email to info@dolphindiscovery.com,  in this format is to specify the type of special attention they require and based on this information we can determine which is the best program for you and how many people will assist you.

For security reasons, is not allowed to use cameras in the water, professional photos will be available for sale.

Our programs dolphin swim Swim Adventure and Royal Swim are not allowed for pregnant women, however our Dolphin Encounter program is a great option for women with up to 5 months of pregnancy, previously signing a waiver and accompanied by another adult.

Yes, as long as it's done at least 4 days before the scheduled date of your swim. Cancellations with less than 4 days notice does not apply for any refund. The refund will be made if cancellation is made 5 days or before the scheduled date, however there are bank charges for 10% of its total.

Our programs go on rain or shine, so there are no cancellations or refunds in these cases.
