How do I get to Dreams habitat if I’m in Cancun?
You can drive there or take advantage of our ground transportation service. Dolphin Discovery offers round-trip Cancun - Puerto Aventuras, ($30 USD per swimmer and $35 USD per companion). Request your transportation by email to customercare@dolphindiscovery.com or by phone 48 hours before your the program.
If I want to get to Dreams Puerto Aventuras from Cancun by car, what can I do?
Take Carretera 307 (highway) that goes from north to south along the Mexican Caribbean coast. After leaving Cancun, follow the signs to Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Dreams Puerto Aventuras is located between Xcaret and Xpu-Ha. Sings are very clear.
How can I get to Dolphin Discovery Dreams if Im in Playa del Carmen or in another part of the Riviera Maya?
You can take advantage of our ground transportation service. Dolphin Discovery offers round-trip service from the Riviera Maya ($10 USD per swimmer and $15 USD per companion). Request your transportation by email to customercare@dolphindiscovery.com or by phone 48 hours before your the program.
Are programs carried out in the sea or tanks?
We are located in the heart of Puerto Aventuras and all the water comes from the sea. Our platforms are located in a sea inlet and not in open sea. We built our structures in natural areas to protect our dolphins the best way.
If my friends want to go with me without swimming, do they have to pay a special fee as observers?
Any of your companions will be welcomed. He/she will be free to watch our dolphin programs, all they would have to cover is their ground transportation service of $15 USD.
Besides dolphin programs, are there other activities in Dreams Puerto Aventuras?
We are surrounded by colorful and varied outdoor restaurants, shops and a nearby beach. It is the perfect place for a beautiful morning or evening in the Caribbean.
Could I have a towel if I swim with dolphins in Dreams Puerto Aventuras?
We dont have that service yet, we advise you to take your own. We have some nice dolphin towels at the boutique in case you want to buy one as a souvenir.
Is there a safe place where I can leave my stuff?
We have lockers available for a small deposit that will be returned when you return your key.
What is your children's policy?
- Children over 4.6 ft will be allowed to participate alone in any of our dolphin programs by paying the adult rate.
- Children over 3.9 ft up to 4.6 ft will be allowed to participate alone in the Encounter program. To participate in the Swim Adventure or Royal Swim programs, children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
- Children over 3.3 ft and up to 3.9 ft will be allowed to participate in the Encounter program accompanied by a paying adult. To participate in the Swim Adventure or Royal Swim programs, children must be accompanied by two paying adults.
- Children under 3.3 ft will be considered infants and will perform Encounter activities regardless of the program in which they participate (it is a requirement that they fit the vest).
What activities are carried out in each program?
Royal Swim: Foot Push, Dorsal Tow, Handshake, Kiss, Hand target, hug.
Swim Adventure: Belly Ride, Boogie push, Hug, Hand target, handshake, kiss.
Dolphin Encounter: Hand target, kiss, handshake, as well as information about the behavior and anatomy of dolphins.
How many people are in the water at the same time?
Royal Swim: 10 maximum.
Swim Adventure: 12 people maximum.
Dolphin Encounter: 15 to 20 people maximum.
How early should I arrive?
We recommend to arrive at least 45 minutes before your scheduled time as you need to check in and receive a small induction.
Can I feed the dolphins?
Dolphins have a specifically balanced diet according to their age, activity and development, so feeding dolphins is not allowed as this could affect their health.
Do you offer therapy programs with dolphins?
No, we currently do not have this service, our programs are educational and interactive. However, we invite you to participate in any of our programs, you can review the security policies section for more information on the participation of people with disabilities.
Do you have transportation service?
Yes, we offer ground transportation service for at a small cost of $10 USD per swimmers and $15 USD per companions. (This service must be requested through email to customercare@dolphindiscovery.com or by phone 48 hours before the program).
How can I recognize the transportation vehicle?
All our units have the Dolphin Discovery logo, plus our staff will have distinctive uniform.
What will be the schedule of my transportation?
The timetables for your pick up and return will be scheduled at the time of your reservation.
Will I have to wear a life jacket?
The use of life jackets is required in all water programs, our staff will provide the jacket that best suits your complexion, we have jackets available in different sizes and for babies one year old and up.
I am a person with disabilities, Can I participate in the programs?
People with disabilities may participate in our programs, this requires filling a format and send it via email to info@dolphindiscovery.com, in this format is to specify the type of special attention they require and based on this information we can determine which is the best program for you and how many people will assist you.
Can I use my own camera or mobile when I swim with dolphins?
For safety reasons, the use of cameras or electronic devices in the water is prohibited. Professional photos will be available for sale.
Can pregnant women participate?
Our programs dolphin swim Swim Adventure and Royal Swim are not allowed for pregnant women, however our Dolphin Encounter program is a great option for women with up to 5 months of pregnancy, previously signing a waiver and accompanied by another adult.
Is there refund for cancellation?
Yes, as long as it's done at least 4 days before the scheduled date of your swim. Cancellations with less than 4 days notice does not apply for any refund. The refund will be made if cancellation is made 5 days or before the scheduled date, however there are bank charges for 10% of its total.
What if there is inclement weather?
Our programs go on rain or shine, so there are no cancellations or refunds in these cases.
How can I view and print my confirmation?
If you cannot find your confirmation in your email; you can look for it with your reservation number and email address at the following link (click here)
How can I purchase my individual photo package by booking on the website?
When you book your swim with Dolphins, you will see the option to add the individual photo package as a complement to your reservation in the shopping cart. Remember that when you book on the website, your individual photo package will get a special price for advance purchase.

What if I have already done my experience with Dolphins and I am in the habitat but I want to buy my package of individual photos?
If you have already done your swim with Dolphins and you want to buy your package of individual photos, you can make your purchase by approaching the photography area to acquire them.
How long after swimming with Dolphins can I buy my individual photo package?
The purchase of individual photographs can be made up to 15 days after your swim with Dolphins will be available to buy on the website. Photo Memories
What requirements do I need to be able to purchase my individual photo package?
The information you need to purchase your individual photo package are: reservation ID, day of activity, time and location where you did your swim with dolphins. Photo Memories
How can I download my photos when I buy my package at the location?
The advisor of the photography team that assisted you will give you an assigned code so that you can download your photos, remember that the download code is unique.

If I bought my individual photo package, how can I download my photos?
Once you have completed the swim with Dolphins, remember to go to the photography area to receive your unique download code.

What if I want a photo as a couple or group and we pay for the individual photo package, does it have an extra cost?
Yes, it has an extra cost, because the individual photo package that you purchased is per adult or paid minor. If you want to purchase it, you can do it directly with the photography area in the habitat.
Can the price of the individual photo package vary?
Remember that when you buy your individual photo package in advance of your swim with Dolphins, you will receive a special price when you book on our website, in the same way the price may vary depending on the number of individual photo packages you select.
Are pets allowed?
No pets are allowed, with the exception of service animals. Service animals do not include emotional support pets.
