- For safety reasons pregnant women (5 months and up) can’t participate in any of our aquatic programs. Women with less than 5 months into their pregnancy can participate in the Encounter program only if accompanied by another adult and after signing a Responsibility Form.

This Strategy was implemented with the objective of preserving and understanding marine life, their biological reproduction, and its different stages: Gestational Labor, Birth, and Breastfeeding. Thanks to this method, 82 marine mammals have been born and conform our first and second generation under human care (66 Dolphins, 12 Sea Lions, and 4 Manatees).

How can I get to Dolphin Discovery Playa del Carmen if Im in Playa del Carmen or in another part of the Riviera Maya?
You can take advantage of our ground transportation service. Dolphin Discovery offers round-trip service from Playa del Carmen or the Riviera Maya ($10 USD per swimmer and $15 USD per companion). Request your transportation by email to customercare@dolphindiscovery.com or by phone 48 hours before your the program.
Besides dolphin programs, are there other activities in Playa del Carmen?
Playa del Carmen downtown is surrounded by colorful and varied outdoor restaurants, shops and a nearby beach. It is the perfect place for a beautiful morning or evening in the Caribbean.
Is there a safe place where I can leave my stuff?
We have lockers available for a small deposit that will be returned when you return your key.
What is your children's policy?
- Children over 4.6 ft will be allowed to participate alone in any of our dolphin programs by paying the adult rate.
- Children over 3.9 ft up to 4.6 ft will be allowed to participate alone in the Encounter program. To participate in the Swim Adventure or Royal Swim programs, children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
- Children over 3.3 ft and up to 3.9 ft will be allowed to participate in the Encounter program accompanied by a paying adult. To participate in the Swim Adventure or Royal Swim programs, children must be accompanied by two paying adults.
- Children under 3.3 ft will be considered infants and will perform Encounter activities regardless of the program in which they participate (it is a requirement that they fit the vest).
Do you have transportation service?
Yes, we offer ground transportation service for at a small cost of $10 USD per swimmers and $15 USD per companions. (This service must be requested through email to customercare@dolphindiscovery.com or by phone 48 hours before the program).
